Life is too short ............

This is a story of a beautiful girl who lived in the hill station, kind and loveable. People loved her for her kindness. Lets name her Gayathri. She had a beautiful family. 

 

She always felt that she was fat and did not have the confidence in her.  Even she grew up she still had that feeling in her that she was fat. After graduating she worked for a consultant. She enjoyed working as a recruiter.

 

While working she came a cross a profile of a person by the name of Arjun. She spoke to him about what opportunities he had. They started regularly talking to each other over phone.  One day he asked her to add his yahoo messenger id. When she did and asked him to add her, his first message was, Who are you? She was totally confused at his reaction. She messaged him stating you were the one who asked me to add you. Heated words were exchanged then she called him over phone. He only then realized that it was her , he was thinking that someone was playing the fool with him . He apologized to her and told her that he once liked a girl Gayathri and she left him sometime back.

 

Everyday they started to chat. They became good friends. After six months he came down to Ooty to see her . They met in a restaurant and spoke to each other for few minutes. She did not want to show him how much she loved him. Her immediate thought after meeting him was will he like me , will he stop talking to me. When he went back they started chatting.

 

After a few months he just disappeared, no calls, no messages. She was totally disappointed. She moved on. She received a call from him after 6 months. She was surprised. He apologized to her that he had to move to the US for work and could not inform her. She was angry with him and told him that her engagement is fixed and she busy with that. He congratulated her and the line dropped.

 

She still loved him a lot and lied to him about her engagement. Months passed by her never called her back. After her year she met him by chance in a wedding. He was surprised to see her. Her asked her “Where is your husband” she then told him that she was not married and ran out of the wedding hall. He tried calling her but she had changed her number. He tried contacting her but in vain

 

She loved him, but she was worried that he hated her because she was fat and did not want him to sympathize. She then moved on with life. After a year she met Arjun’s friend. He told her that he was madly in love with her, they day he called her from the US was to propose to her. But after he got to know about her engagement he was shattered. She suddenly felt numb.

 

All she wanted now was to hug him and tell him how she loved him, but latter her friend told her that he got married few months back.  She went into a state of depression. All that she had to do is express her love to him. She hid her love because of her ego and did want him to sympathize. Life is too short to be overthinking.
